YOUR FIRST VISIT

Jonathan Munns likes to spend time at your first visit to him as a new patient. This provides an opportunity for you to express any concerns you have about past or future dental treatment and let him know about any current problems that you feel may have with your mouth. Before examining your mouth Jonathan will check your medical history with you to ensure he is aware of anything that could affect treatment or your mouth health. At the initial appointment we will carefully and thoroughly check all parts of your mouth including the soft tissues (lips,tongue, cheeks, palate) for any abnormalities and then examine your teeth and gums for any problems. We will normally take Xrays to check for unseen decay under fillings or bone loss round teeth. Following this we can make suggestions with choices on the best way to proceed with your mouth care. If treatment required is straight forward then a plan is made verbally together with a printed estimate of the likely cost. If your treatment is more complex we may provide a written report and a treatment plan which will also include an indication of the costs involved.
